Recorded & Mixed at Ant Studios winter 2010-2011, to 8 track analog tape. Bounced back to 2 tracks tape for Vocals. Mastered back to 2 tracks tape. Captured at 32-bit/96 kHz & reduced to 16-bit/44.4 kHz for 1982’s State of the Art Technology, the DIGITAL COMPACT DISC.

These recordings were very delicately mastered at ANT, to ensure the purest reproduction of Tapes. The Tapes were carefully volume raised without compromise of headroom or mass, with equalization kept minimal. Due to the source, some tape hiss does exist.
All Microphones preamped by 1950’s Tube buffering technology, notably Viking and Altec designs modified by M.S.
All instruments used in this recording date directly to/replicate designs from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.

“The sound on this audio recording is the product of considerable research and development in musical/recording equipment. Although total frequency range of 30 CPS to 20,000 CPS on this recording is not within the range of ordinary hearing, it is the opinion of the producers that the inclusion of these in-audible frequencies does convey a certain warmth of tone that is sensed by the listener rather than actually heard.” Quote from a 1960’s Nina Simone record, back when audio made sense.
